The IQAir Health Pro Plus Air Purifier comes from a line of IQAir Health Pro air purifiers.  Aside from the common features of air purifiers in this product line, this particular model comes with a HiFlow gas filter that serves to cut down odors and gases in a room.  This gas filter element contains six pounds of activated carbon.  This complements the other filtration systems used in this air purifier model.  Air goes into this air purifier and passes through the pre-filter  and then into the hyper-HEPA filter before it is passed through the V5 cell HiFlow gas and odor filter.  It is because of this combination of filters that this air purifier model is able to produce cleaner air.  The hyper-HEPA filter, for one, could trap smaller particles that other air purifier brands cannot trap.  Its filtration rate far exceeds HEPA standards.  It is, in fact, the first air purifier in the world to pass the EN 1822, the most stringent HEPA filter test in the whole world.  Compared to other HEPA air purifiers, this air purifier model is able to capture about 100 times more dirt particles.  Particles as small as .003 microns could effectively be trapped by this purifier’s fine filters.  The pre-filter alone already screens out about 90% of larger particles in the air.
