The hyper-HEPA filter and the V5-cell gas filter, on the other hand, takes about a year or two of usage before it needs to be changed. Because the filters are not combined in one cartridge, each one could be replaced separately as needed. Since the pre-filters are able to trap most of the airborne particles, the hyper-HEPA filter and the gas filter are not overworked and therefore last longer.
